I got the original recipe off a site, but I've modified it:
2 cups of milk (I used 2%)
1/3 cup uncooked white rice
pinch of salt
Bring milk, rice and salt to a boil over high heat. Stir often as milk tends to burn quickly and rice sticks to bottom. Once boiling, adjust heat to low, cover, stir often.
1 egg
1/8 cup white sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
In a separate bowl, whisk egg and sugars together. Spoon in, a tablespoon at a time, 6 tablespoons of the hot rice mixture. Mix. Once 6 tablespoons of rice mixture and egg/sugar mixture have been blended, add back to rest of hot rice mixture. Be careful not to boil. Simmer over low heat until total mixture is equal parts liquid, rice.
Enjoy hot or cold. I prefer hot.
