well, not THIS one. mine is a beat up version of this car.
its a 2003 Toyota Corolla S (sport edition, not really...it doesn't go any faster than the regular one).
my car and i have been through a lot together. i've driven her up to Virginia from Atlanta (twice). She's gotten keyed (all of her). She's been in an accident (not her fault). She's been lost (thanks, Steven)...
I've been mean to her on occasion and she has the dents and scratches to prove it.
However, I don't like it when people disrespect my car. AT ALL.
I can do what I want to her. She's mine. If I see dents and scratches that were not caused by me, I get PISSED.
Well, the bitches that live in my building that park to the left and right of me don't know how to park. In fact, I've had to post notes on our "community" bulletin board on how to park. Seriously. How hard is it to park in between the lines? Not hard. I can do it. I can do it backwards. They seem to have learned a bit better after I posted the note, but the newest bitch to my building never saw the note and she invades my space and the person to the left with her white Honda.... A LOT.
A couple of weeks ago I started noticing white door marks on Corolla. Was angry, didn't say anything because I could scratch the white paint off with my nail, but it kept on happening.
Now I NEVER swing my doors open if someone is close. This goes not only for my parking lot, but any parking lot. I abide by the Golden Rule.
A couple of days pass and I notice another white mark. Scratch that off. Then I notice another. BITCH IS NOT BEING CAREFUL WITH HER DOOR. It was eating away at me. I must say something!
Yesterday after work, I knocked her door and who should answer? Nick from my building. The same loser douchebag that got into my face about reprimanding loser-bar Diesel about being too loud when I'm trying to sleep. Apparently, he and his girlfriend moved into the building and the white Honda is her car. Awesome.
"Look, I know you and I don't get along, but I've been noticing paint marks on my car. Can you and your girlfriend please be gentle when opening your car door? I don't know who has been scratching my car, but I wanted to say something the the people I know are parking next to me"
I mean, I think that is fair. What if I get a new car? I don't want dent marks from my own parking lot.
His response? "I'm the only one that gets out of the passenger seat and I'm pretty sure I've never dinged your car"
Mine? "Okay, just wanted to say something. Have a good day"
I know it's them. If I see one more scratch, I'm being extremely NOT GENTLE with my door.
